Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join an established precision engineering company based in Sheffield. It a very stable, well respected company and offer many benefits, they are committed to quality and deal with very high profile clients. As quality inspector you will be responsible for the following:

Main Duties:
" Ensure all appropriate inspection testing is carried out accurately to customers' specifications, procedures & inspection /testing methods (SPIMs
" Reject parts which do not meet the required standards by completing accurate details on AERODNA.
" Carry out appropriate testing of goods received as and when may be required.
" Prepare and maintain monthly appropriate checks on the Salt Spray facility of Plated/Anodised / Alcocrom test plates
" Maintain high levels of health, safety, quality and environmental standards

The ideal candidate will have the following:
" Experience/knowledge of electroplating & anodising (beneficial but not essential).
" Experience of working in a quality environment (AS9100 preferable but not essential, or ISO 9001).
" Experience of working in a testing / inspection facility with knowledge of Micrometres, Verniers, etc (preferably small precision parts).
" Experience in inspecting components to engineering drawings (desirable but not essential).
" Knowledge of new product introduction & first article inspection. (desirable but not essential).
" Experience of a manufacturing/factory environment essential.
" Good administrative abilities and computer skills.
" Very good eyesight, particularly for detail and be able to Visually and Dimensionally inspect precision parts to customer & international specifications.
" Able to cope within a fast moving, process based production environment.
" Good general standard of education and qualification.

Fulll time:
Salary: £18- £20k depending on experience
