Business Development Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing team within the IT service sector in a newly created role as a Business Development Manager. You will have free range and creativity to make this role your own. The offices are located in the Dewsbury area - offering a causal, relax, quirky workspace, set in an old warehouse within a newly converted office space, this is definitely an opportunity you don't want to miss!
The role!
" research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
" seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
" generate leads and cold call prospective customers
" meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
" foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
" understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
" think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
" work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
Other attributes we look for - however not essential
" help to plan sales campaigns
" create a sales pipeline
" negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
" increase sales of the business
" carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors
" develop the business sales and marketing strategy.
Who we are looking for!
An ideal candidate will be driven, tenacious, work well within a small team, creative and think outside the box, with the confidence to speak up and share new ideas. It is essential you have IT service experience and have worked within a Business development/account management role for at least 2 years.
