Job Description:
PERMANENT Night Shift Supervisor wanted for award winning business based in Rotherham, due to growth within the business the company are looking ideally for an experienced supervisor with experience of working within the recycling industry and with mobile plant experience!
Salary circa £36K - perm nights working a 4 on - 4 off shift pattern - excellent growing business
Job Purpose
The Night shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all activities on-site are carried out safely and efficiently as possible providing strong leadership and communication skills to the shift teams to ensure that operational improvements are implemented properly and become standard operating practice moving forward.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure Health and Safety standards are Managed
To maintain housekeeping to an acceptable level
Implement and drive for continual improvements
Ensure that production targets/ Outputs are achieved and maintained
Promote an empowering workplace culture
Set priorities to ensure most efficient use of company resources
Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses or any issue with potential to cause one, is reported & recorded
Control efficiencies in all areas
Quality control, monitoring all incoming loads, raw material stocks, products and bi products, completing a recording all required testing
Controlling all operations in accordance with all company policies and procedures i.e. safe operating procedures, risk assessments, environmental permit
Managing contractors & third party hauliers ensuring they are following all company policies and procedures whilst on site
Assisting other areas of site when required.
Completing required paperwork, ensure effective hand over processes are in place
Routine maintenance tasks, ensuring isolations are in place, lubricating, condition monitoring, changing skirts, re fitting guards after maintenance etc
Reporting all disciplinary problems such as lateness, absence, productivity, insubordination etc as soon as they arise.
Managing breakdowns effectively, redeploying staff, calling out appropriate rescore, assisting to reduce downtime
Attend all relevant daily, weekly, monthly meetings as required
